E85 is the renewable alternative to gasoline. But there is also an ethanol-based alternative for diesel: "E95".

The Swedish producer of bio-ethanol and market leader SEKAB has an experience of many years in the ethanol sector. SEKAB is the only company in the world that developed and patented an additive which is added to bio-ethanol. The mixture can be used as an alternative for diesel.

Specifications Etamax D / E95

The appropriate engines are produced exclusively by the Swedish manufacturer Scania. The motors differ in a higher compression and a modified injection system, amongst others. Ethanol-buses by Scania are used for public transportation in several Swedish cities like Stockholm. 



Worldwide, Scania has delivered more than 1.500 vehicles with alternative drives yet. The market introduction in Germany is planned, but does not have a date yet.
